Alden House is a design/build organization. With over two decades of experience designing and constructing major additions to traditional peninsula homes, we offer a unique service mix to our clients. Rather than separating the capabilities and accountability of project designer from project implementor, we have integrated them.
Alden House is responsible for a continuous process which begins with concept plan development and baseline project estimation and ends with project construction. In our opinion, this format insures a least-cost and maximum-satisfaction project for our clients. Since we have maintained a 6 to 18 month project backlog throughout our company history entirely by referral, our clients apparently agree.
Here are several recent or ongoing projects. These structures do not illustrate any stylistic philosophy of our own. Rather, they reflect our design response to client needs, subject to the architectural constraints of the original structure and the varied restrictions of local planning jurisdictions. Our design work has been recognized in local publications , in the national publication: Fine Homebuilding, and, most recently, in the 2006 book, Curb Appeal from Taunton Press. During 1997, ALDEN HOUSE was proud to have been recognized by the City of Palo Alto and by the County of San Mateo for design and building achievement.
